Sophia Goring
Director
With over 20 years’ experience of working in corporate communications (including public affairs, media relations and stakeholder management), Sophia is currently Head of Regulation and Sustainability at Business Stream.
Sophia leads on the delivery of Business Stream's sustainability agenda, which includes overseeing the company’s carbon reduction targets and delivering it’s community-based social value programme. In addition, having recently taken on the expanded role of leading the company’s regulation strategy, Sophia is responsible for overseeing the development of regulatory and market frameworks across England and Scotland on behalf of Business Stream.
Prior to working at Business Stream, Sophia was an Account Director for a leading media and government relations agency in London.
Sophia currently works with a number of charities and social enterprises and sits on the Career Ready Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian and East Lothian Local Authority Board to support the charity’s strategic aims and the Business in the Community (BiTC) in-work poverty LAB. She is also a mentor through the Women’s Utilities Network (WUN) mentoring programme.
