Ash Hamlyn
Communications & Events Manager
Ash has almost a decade of event management and communications experience. Prior to Charity Leadership Scotland she worked on a family run farm, helping to plan and deliver a range of engaging community activities and children’s events. This experience ranged from Halloween fright nights to emergency services celebration days. This early hands on experience sparked her enthusiasm for bringing people together in meaningful and memorable ways. Ash holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology & Politics from UHI and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Glasgow, where she developed a keen interest in global systems, political collaboration, and community resilience.
Since joining Charity Leadership Scotland, Ash has worked with the Communications & Events team to develop the organisation’s events programme and expanding outreach through thoughtful, strategic communications. She enjoys the challenge of balancing creativity with logistics and is committed to creating inclusive, high-quality experiences for our members.
Ash lives with her fiancé and their black labrador and tabby cat. She loves spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking and is an avid reader.
