About VITA
Founded in 2019, VITA has rapidly established itself as one of the UK’s largest independent VAT advisors. VITA offers a FREE, no-obligation VAT review for Charity Leadership Scotland members.
As part of this complimentary, high-level review, VITA will assess your accounts or VAT return data and provide an initial verbal assessment of your organisation’s VAT position, at no cost and with no obligation to proceed further.
This initial review helps identify whether you are treating your income and activities correctly; whether your VAT recovery calculations are compliant; and importantly whether a more detailed a more detailed VAT Health Check, under a formal engagement, would be worthwhile.
For charities that would benefit from additional support, VITA also offers a range of specialist VAT services, including assistance with HMRC compliance reviews; obtaining HMRC rulings; fronting disclosures such as error corrections, or making retrospective claims in favour of the charity. They are not focused on taking on compliance but are there to provide more strategic and ongoing VAT support. These services are available on an optional basis, allowing organisations to choose the level of support that’s right for them. VITA’s approach is built on clear communication, practical advice, and a genuine commitment to helping charities achieve the best possible VAT outcome.
